ORN Car 04 Storms Back to P5 at the 2026 iRacing Sebring 12 Hour

Race Overview
ORN Car 04 delivered one of the standout recovery drives of the 2026 iRacing Sebring 12 Hour, climbing from early-race adversity to secure an impressive P5 finish in the GT3 class.

Fielded in the Porsche 992 GT3 R, the driver lineup of Morgan Raynal, Mark Buttigieg, Kev King, and Brett Gray combined consistency, strategy, and composure across 12 hours of multi-class endurance racing at one of the most demanding circuits on the calendar.

Qualifying & Early Setback

Morgan Raynal put in a composed qualifying performance, placing the car P18 in a tightly contested grid.

The opening stint showed strong pace and race potential, but an early incident involving an LMP2 car resulted in damage, forcing an unscheduled pit stop for repairs. The setback dropped ORN Car 04 down to P28, immediately putting the team on the back foot.

Morgan Raynal:
“The start was clean, and we had strong pace early on, but the contact with the P2 was unfortunate. At that point, it became about damage limitation and resetting for a long race ahead.”

The Recovery Phase
Following repairs, the team executed a disciplined recovery strategy built around:

Consistent lap time averages across stints
Clean and efficient traffic navigation in multi-class conditions
Minimised pit lane time across stops and driver changes

Mark Buttigieg and Kev King anchored the middle portion of the race, maintaining rhythm and avoiding further incidents on Sebring’s notoriously bumpy and technical surface.

Final Stint Execution
As the race entered its final hours, ORN Car 04 had worked its way firmly into contention. Morgan Raynal and Brett Gray handled the closing stint's, delivering a calm and calculated drive under pressure.

Morgan Raynal:
“By the final hours, we knew a top-five was possible if we executed cleanly. The team gave me a great car, and it was just about managing traffic and bringing it home.”

Capitalising on attrition ahead and maintaining a low incident count, the team crossed the line in P5, completing an impressive comeback from 28th earlier in the race.

Team Principals - Mark Buttigieg & Brett Gray:
“This was a complete team performance. From the moment we had the early damage, everyone stayed composed and focused on what need to be done and the execution delivered by the drivers was consistent, intelligent, and the strategy team made the right calls at the right time.

To recover from P28 to P5 at Sebring—especially in multi-class conditions—is something the whole team should be proud of.”
