First and foremost, a big thank you to everyone who signed up and participated in the event! (Yes, even you Maddox—we know your PC issues kept you from racing, but we appreciate your effort nonetheless.) It was a fantastic team effort all around. Here's a quick recap of how things unfolded during the race.
Car 17: The team started in 33rd position but opted for an early pit stop to avoid the chaos on track, which dropped them to 44th. From there, they steadily climbed through the pack, reaching an impressive 7th place during the night. Unfortunately, a series of incidents cost them valuable positions, and they fell back to 15th, holding steady around that position until the end of the race. A gritty and determined effort by the team!
Car 18: Starting in 14th, the team was looking strong until they were hit with some tough luck. A power outage for one driver led to a loss of positions, and a series of unfortunate crashes from another driver further compounded the challenges. To make matters worse, a hardware failure—a malfunctioning brake pedal—forced the team to retire the car, resulting in disqualification. Despite the setbacks, the team showed resilience and determination throughout.
While the results may not have been ideal, this race has helped us grow stronger as a team. With everyone’s dedication and support, we’re building something truly special. We’re also excited to announce that we’ve partnered with a few affiliates and are actively working to grow the Octane Racing name.
