GT3 Driver

Don began his sim racing journey in 2005 with *TOCA 2*, using a Logitech G25 wheel. Starting offline and later joining the A1 community (as it was known then), he honed his skills and passion for the sport. When *Project CARS* became available in its beta stage, Don eagerly transitioned, even though it initially only supported time attack modes. By 2013, he expanded his horizons with *rFactor 2* on its release and upgraded his setup to a Fanatec ClubSport V1 wheel with a Formula rim, paired with ClubSport pedals featuring a hydraulic brake mod for enhanced realism. Don joined the International Sim Racers (ISR) league, where he adopted the moniker **ISR-Don1**. His early days in the league were challenging—often being lapped during races held in the grueling pre-dawn hours of 4:00-6:00 AM local time. These experiences were tough and disheartening but ultimately fueled his determination, and with perseverance, he worked his way onto podium finishes. By 2015, Don began searching for local Australian leagues and competed in both the Outlaws and In2SimRacing leagues, finding moderate success. In 2020, Brett encouraged him to take on the world of *iRacing*. However, his initial experience was far from positive—he found the driving standards lacking compared to what he was accustomed to. Disheartened, Don decided to step away from sim racing altogether. After a hiatus of 3-4 years, Don felt it was time to rejoin the community and fully commit to the sport he loved. With an upgraded computer and pedal set, he’s back on track, striving to regain momentum and compete at a higher level. Don’s tagline sums up his journey perfectly: **"Moments of brilliance followed by years of mediocrity."** It’s a testament to his resilience and unrelenting passion for sim racing.
